The 16^th International SPECTRALIS Symposium (ISS) took place on 12-13 October in Bonn, Germany.

Professor Alastair Denniston spoke about “The Future of Uveitis Care: Quantitative Imaging”and the programme of work brought forward by EQUATΘR. He highlighted the limitations of current approaches to monitoring disease activity and highlighted the importance of novel endpoints based on quantitative markers of disease, as well as the challenges associated with their validation to regulatory agencies.

Dr Giovanni Montesano presentedRELAYER – an open source OCT segmentation tool developed by Dr Giovanni Ometto.
